I am currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics & Statistics at Cal Poly Pomona. I also serve as the Director of the California Mathematics Project at Cal Poly Pomona (CMP@CPP).

My research interests lie largely in the intersection between language and mathematics, affective beliefs of students and how these interact with learning, and finding ways to enhance teacher education through social justice mathematics.

My teaching centers primarily around future teachers at all levels (elementary, secondary, tertiary), as well as in-service teachers via professional development workshops. I continue working towards a more rehumanizing mathematics space in my classrooms, as well as a more social justice-oriented view of mathematics as a whole.
